nugs.net's Live Phish mobile app used to stream and download Phish concerts after they happen received the Best Touring App award during the Billboard Music App Awards at the Billboard Mobile Entertainment Live! conference on Tuesday, October 5 in San Francisco. Up against Bonnaroo's festival app by Aloompa and the R5 music venue app from Ticketfly, Live Phish clinched the award with a series of key features that drive online music sales.
Phish fall tour starts in Detroit, Michigan on November 18th, 2009 at the Cobb Arena. Tickets are still available on a limited basis. Last fall, when members of Phish—guitarist Trey Anastasio, drummer Jon Fishman, bassist Mike Gordon, and keyboardist Page McConnell—announced the band would take the stage again for the first time in four years, tickets for the three-night stand at Hampton Coliseum in Virginia sold out immediately. This month, the band announced additional dates, marking a return to the road for one of the most successful touring bands of all time.
Phish is pleased to announce The Clifford Ball, the highly anticipated 7-DVD Box Set documenting Phish's landmark concert event that drew more than 70,000 fans to upstate New York in August 1996. The collection is available for pre-order now at Phish Dry Goods and will hit stores March 3rd.
Phish will perform ten concerts this coming June. The shows kick off with a two night stand at Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY June 4-5 and wrap up at Alpine Valley in East Troy, WI on June 20-21. Stops along the way include a return to the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis on June 16 and the band's first show at the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC on June 9.
After a standout show on 12/29/97, the band gave a loose, funky performance on the second night of their three-night stand at Madison Square Garden. The band came out of the gates smoking on night three of a four-show holiday tour on December 30th with "Sneakin' Sally Thru The Alley" > "Taste".
