Coinciding with Phish’s 13-night run at Madison Square Garden, American Beauty NYC announced a run of shows occurring before and after the Baker’s Dozen shows. Located one block from MSG, American Beauty is a multi-room live music space & craft beer bar serving a free personal pizza with every drink purchase. The venue is named after The Grateful Dead’s acclaimed 1970 studio album and is a popular hangout spot for the jam band community in NYC.

In addition to ticketed concerts, the venue will also host a ‘Jerry Lounge’ on the third floor that will replicate the lot scene that occurs at outdoor Phish shows. Entry is free and will feature vendors curated by PhanArt, a Grateful Dead DJ, and grilled cheese for sale. On the off-nights of Phish, American Beauty will host jam band-themed trivia (Mondays) and special concerts by local bands (Thursdays). The initial line-up of pre & post parties includes:

American Beauty NYC, midtown Manhattan’s premier craft beer bar + music venue is gearing up for another few weeks full of exciting concerts.

Aaron Johnston (Brazilian Girls) has recruited keyboardist Borahm Lee (Break Science), saxophonist Ryan Zoidis (Lettuce), and bassist Nate Edgar (The Nth Power) to form J.E.D.I. for a night of improvisational jazz on Friday, 12/2.

In addition, Bay Area newgrass outfit Front Country, who were just named one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know," will make their American Beauty debut with The Brother Brothers on Thursday, 12/7.

American Beauty NYC, midtown Manhattan’s premier craft beer bar + music venue is gearing up for another few weeks full of exciting concerts.

Vinnie Amico (Moe.) will take the stage with his band, Floodwood this Thursday, 12/14. Also sharing the bill will be Headband, an all-star improvisational group comprised of Craig Brodhead (Turkuaz), Bill Carbone (Max Creek) and Karina Rykman (Marco Benevento’s band).

Also announced this week is Rock's Fallen: A Tribute to Legendary Rockstars Lemmy Kilmister, Chris Cornell, & Malcolm Young, which will feature a night of tribute covers by Michelangelo Carubba (Turkuaz) and Sasha Brown (Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds) on Friday, 12/22.

American Beauty will once again become THE pre & post-show destination for Phish’s upcoming residency at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 28-31.

Each night with feature both free and ticketed performances from artists including The Nth Power, Particle, The Werks, Kung Fu and more! We’ll also be offering a free live stream of each of the Phish concerts, in addition to opening our upstairs Jerry Lounge with a live DJ all four nights.
