Today, roots reggae favorites Stick Figure are releasing their sixth album, Set In Stone, making their mark as one of the fastest growing bands in the U.S. scene. Recorded in a self-constructed recording studio in the Santa Cruz Mountains, it took sole songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer Scott Woodruff three years to make. With five full-length albums, over 2.5 million SoundCloud plays on a summer single, 50,000 records sold, and significant touring successes under their belt, Stick Figure is proud to release what The Reggae Review refers to as “one of the best Reggae records of 2015/16.”

“Production-wise, this is the biggest and best album we have made so far,” explained frontman Scott Woodruff in an interview with The Pier. “I spent a lot of time refining the production and picking new sounds to sample.” Set In Stone features Collie BuddzSlightly Stoopid, and Eric Rachmany (Rebelution) and their previously released single “Smokin’ Love” has garnered over 2.5 million listens on Soundcloud and over 3 million on Pandora.

Along with the album, Stick Figure is also sharing their hypnotic visual for “Sound of the Sea,” debuted by Yahoo. Earlier this week, Billboard premiered the four-man roots reggae/dub group’s music video for “Fire on the Horizon,” set in the never-ending terrain of mighty redwoods and the ocean-sprayed oasis of a sunset-painted West Coast beach.

Stick Figure is led by multi-instrumentalist/producer Scott Woodruff, whose previous album Burial Ground peaked at #1 on Billboard’s and iTunes’ Reggae Charts. Preceding Set in Stone, Stick Figure has released five albums, all recorded solo, with Woodruff laying down the tracks one by one. The current live band line-up features Kevin Bong (KBong) on keyboards, Kevin Offitzer on drums and bassist Tommy Suliman, with Scott upfront on guitar and vocals. Cutting a powerful path through the club, concert and ultimately the festival circuit, the band has toured with Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, Dirty Heads, Collie Buddz, The Green and Tribal Seeds, and headlined their first national tour in 2014 with many of the shows selling out completely, including the band’s appearance at the iconic Roxy Theater in West Hollywood, CA where tickets were gone two weeks prior to the concert.

Stick Figure will be hitting the road again for their Set In Stone Tour.

A multi-day celebration of music hosted in one of North America's most beautiful cities, the Festival D'ete de Quebec (FEQ) is a festival unlike any other. Today, FEQ announces the star-studded lineup  for FEQ 2023, featuring star performers and exciting rising acts from all over the world, plenty of incredibly talented Canadian artists.. With a dazzling group of headliners that includes Foo Fighters, Lana Del Rey, Lil Durk, Green Day, Weezer, and many others, FEQ returns for its 55th anniversary from July 6-16th in Quebec City, QC, Canada.

Passes for FEQ are available now HERE. FEQ passes are fully transferable–fans can share with friends and family if unable to attend one of the 11 days–and are available for $140 CAD (or about $12.72 CAD per day!).

With over 200 artists performing on five stages over the course of eleven days, FEQ offers a smorgasbord that can entice any kind of music lover. Fans of stadium-sized rock music can enjoy stalwarts like Foo Fighters, recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Green Day, Imagine Dragons, and Quebecois icons Les Cowboys Fringants and Les Trois Accords, while Lamb of God  and Bad Religion offer a harder alternative. Lana Del Rey, The Smile, and Feist appeal to the Indie crowd, along with acts like The War On Drugs, Alvvays, and Sasketchewan singer-songwriter Andy Shauf. Hip-Hop heads can turn up to the likes of Lil Durk, GloRilla, and Cypress Hill, or Canadian emcees bbno$ and Killy. Ascendant superstar Zach Bryan leads the country contingent, which also features Megan Moroney and the province's own Quebec Redneck Bluegrass Project. Pitbull and Illennium promise high-energy tunes for dancing, and Christine & The Queens offer some refined pop music for the French-speaking audience. Other notable names include Ann Wilson (formerly of Heart), Quebec's Robert Charlebois, and exciting up-and-comers like Sudan Archives and Meet Me At The Altar.

The summer festival makes use of The Plains of Abraham, one of the most notable historical sites in Canada, where, in 1759, the British and French fought a decisive battle in the Seven Years' War. Now, hundreds of years later with Canada's fate in its own hands, the Plains of Abraham is the location of the FEQ's main stage, with a capacity of over 80,000. With its multi-day, multi-venue structure and the full-fledged involvement of the surrounding city, FEQ is the closest North American analog to European city festivals like the UK’s Wireless Festival, Spain’s Primavera Sound, or Denmark's Roskilde. Located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, Quebec City is the closest thing to a European city within driving distance, and fans who don’t feel like road tripping can take one of 21 direct flights to the YQB airport.
