Esteemed bassist, funk legend and Prince collaborator, Nik West, shares lead single and video, “Bottom Of The Bottle,” from her upcoming solo release. The video premiered on Vibe, who praised West’s legendary musical career - check out the premiere here. West says the song isn’t as gloomy as it sounds, stating, “Live your life to the fullest and try to see the good in it all. Smile, whistle, sing, dance even if you’re at the bottom of the bottle.” The track’s accompanying video is colorful, vibrant and fun, with West and friends dancing around and blowing bubbles out of plastic cigars. There’s even a subtle homage to Prince, as she holds magazines that honor him before falling into her vibrant daydream. With co-signs from Steven Tyler, Bootsy Collins and Lenny Kravitz, Nik West’s personality and humility shines as bright as the visuals in the track.

The Arizona native started playing rhythm guitar at 13-years-old but fell in love with the bass in high school after listening to Michael Jackson’s “Wanna Be Starting Something.” After the release of her instrumental debut, Just In The Nik of Time, the 20-something caught the attention of Grammy-winning songwriter/producer Glen Ballard and began working with the likes of John Mayer and eventually, Prince. West’s career has evolved into an international force of funk. Most recently, Vibe states, “With a talent that measures up to funk and rock’s greatest, West’s musical charm is undeniable as her lyrics and melodic voice blends perfectly with her radiant persona.” With worldwide tours set for 2017 and countless rave reviews from the press, West is ready to step into the mainstream sphere with her upcoming collection of funky pop driven tracks.

Wolfe Jackson is thrilled to release his latest single “Photographs!” The piano driven song is perfectly fulfilled by Wolfe’s soulful, but tender, vocal and deeply personal lyricism. The track builds from a simple singer-songwriter tune to a gorgeous, full-fledged ballad, equipped with a string section and a dazzling falsetto moment from the emerging Americana artist.

“Photographs” is Wolfe Jackson’s moment to enter the scene. The burgeoning songwriter recently made his way to Los Angeles by way of New York and London. Building his career in London, Wolfe began playing in a band with his brother and quickly found his footing in live music scene. There was something about connecting directly to fans and feeling their responsive energy that made it clear to him that he was meant to share his voice with the world.

On a trip to New York in 2014, Wolfe immediately fell in love the with city’s music scene and never turned back. He began working with Grammy and Academy Award winning producer Leo Sidran, Frans Mernick (A$AP Rocky, Mark Ronson), and Randy Ingram, the outcome were his most recent singles “Remedy” and, now, “Photographs.” This time in New York helped Wolfe find himself as a songwriter and exposed his inner voice within the Americana realm. He also performed live at venues across the city like Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Mercury Lounge, and more.

Wolfe knew he wanted to bring the feel of live performance to his next release and that’s exactly what he’s done with his upcoming EP Nobody Knows Me (Better Than You) EP. Produced with Leo Sidran, the EP boasts all live recording - meaning no headphones, no tuning, no recording to click. They acheived a raw, honest performance and a sound that would be almost impossible to capture otherwise. Wolfe Jackson is thrilled to announce his upcoming Nobody Knows Me (Better Than You) EP and to share more music with listeners over the next year.

Indie Jam Band Lucid Phase has released their new bluegrass single “People In My Life” featuring established violinist, Nora Germain. It follows their previous single, “Wind Is Gone”, released in July and comes ahead of their upcoming second studio album, Orchid Thief, due to release later this Fall.

“When writing ‘People In My Life’, we aimed to keep a traditional bluegrass feel on instruments featured in the track; you can listen for a soulful fiddle, banjo, harmonica, and percussion elements like the castanets and washboard. Really pushing our range on this one just going full western with it was the nature of the game where we wanted to tap into that creative side of ourselves. Big shout out to Nora for coming by the studio and blessing us with her violin & fiddle skills. Truly a Pro and friend of Lucid!”  – Lucid Phase

“People In My Life” was created as a team effort by the members of Lucid Phase: written by Garret Laver (Lead Vocals), produced and mixed by Cyrus Maleki (Guitar) and Jacob Flack (Percussion). The song also includes Nora Germain on Violin, Matt Keith on Banjo, and mastered by Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound. The band was inspired to write this track to pay homage to their peers and the relationships they have cultivated and nurtured over the years. “People In My Life” will be included as the last track on their upcoming album Orchard Thief and is the perfect cliffhanger to prelude their third album Homegrown, which they are currently writing and recording.

Country/Garage Rock" act Raelyn Nelson Band, led by granddaughter of the legendary Willie Nelson, announces the video "Free," produced by  JB - (Jonathan Bright), a veteran of the underground rock scene and independent producer.Raised on a steady diet of traditional country and gospel music, a gift from her grandpa in the form of a guitar during her teenage years was the inspiration she needed to begin writing her own country and folk songs that have grabbed the attention of SPIN Magazine, Rolling Stone Country, Billboard, NY Times, and more. Having shared the stage with such diverse musical acts as country superstar Tim McGraw, indie rock icons Drivin' n Cryin', and jam band supergroup Hard Working Americans, the RNB is proving that you don't have to fit neatly into any particular "genre" to find success.
