As we approach the 4th annual summer festival, the Salmonstock team is pleased to announce the upcoming Salmonstock Spring tour.  Join us and our ‘house band’, Colorado’s Great American Taxi for an exciting tour that will bring a taste of Salmonstock enthusiasm to five towns around the state.GAT has played at each of the previous Salmonstock festivals to enthusiastic throngs, and this five piece traveling band is thrilled to be bringing their unique Americana, jam and roots style to other parts of Alaska. With nine years of national touring behind them, three albums under their belt and a fourth on the way, the tight ‘Taxi’ sound can cover a wide range of styles and genres as their improvisational talent responds to collective energy of the crowd. This is a band with a unique upbeat sound that echoes cultural icons like the Band, Gram Parsons, and the Grateful Dead, while also reflecting current artists like Wilco, Ryan Adams and Todd Snider (who sometimes joins the band). At each stop of the tour, Early Bird Salmonstock festival tickets and discounted merchandise will be available. Tour Information:May 15th - Tap Root - AnchorageMay 16th - Sheldon Arts Hangar - TalkeetnaMay 17th - Blue Loon - FairbanksMay 19th - Decanter Inn - KasilofMay 20th - Down East Saloon - HomerSalmonstock celebrates wild Alaskan salmon and the people who depend on them.
