Hailing from Bagé, Brazil, and currently based in Los Angeles, CA, Luís Kalil is a 17-year-old guitarist, songwriter and solo artist. Luis delivers a timeless blast of powerful, yet innovative metal with his upcoming EP, out November 22.

Check out the video for Boulevard, premiering now at: https://youtu.be/nuWHnIVTGf8

Luís first appeared on the scene at the age of 13, when he caught the attention of the music industry and was quickly sponsored by ESP Guitars, EMG Pickups and Laney Amplification. He showcased his technical prowess and the ability to play and compose songs with talent and maturity beyond his years. At the age of 15 he released his first album, Insight, featuring eight original tracks, six instrumentals and two songs with Iuri Sanson (Hibria) and Edu Falaschi (Angra/Almah) lending their vocal talents.

In 2016, Kalil was deemed by Revolver Magazine as a ''16-year-old guitar sensation.'' He released his second album, Sunset Daredevil, and the music video for the track “If” (produced by the award-winning filmmaker Ulisses da Mota) premiered on RevolverTV. In 2017, now 17-year-old Luís moved to Los Angeles, to further make his mark on the international music scene.

At 14 years old Luis developed a technique called Reverse Tapping where he reversed the normal position of guitar tapping and the right hand is playing the lower note and the left hand plays the higher one. It opened up many new combinations of sounds along with slides, legatos, etc. When Luis was playing live he noticed that people were intrigued by this method, which made him work harder to continue to explore it. ”On this song, Boulevard, I wanted to take it to the next level, so I started writing riffs and rhythm stuff with the technique. I like challenges, and this was a big one for me but couldn't be happier with the result. – says Luis

On November 22 he will release a new 2-song EP featuring Dirk Verberuen (Soilwork) on drums, the vocal talents of Seann Nicols (Westfield Massacre/former Quiet Riot and Adler`s Appetite,) Brazilian prodigy Lucas Arruda on bass and produced by the Brazilian metal sensation, Adair Daufembach.

“This EP marks my very first release after moving to Los Angeles, I’ve put what I have experienced here into music, it represents the newest moments of my life” explains Luis

The songs on the new EP are both aggressive and infectious, further showcasing Luis’ pure class and style, a perfect blend of metallic muscle and melody.

Singer Kaleb Davies and Drummer Ryan Dawson of the Torrance, CA based band The 131ers found themselves caught in the middle of Hurricane Irma during what was supposed to be a vacation in Puerto Rico. They had to participate in preparation efforts with people they had just met and now call friends while they rode out the storm in a hostel.

Upon their safe arrival home to California, Hurricane Maria followed up and absolutely devastated the island of Puerto Rico, directly impacting many of the people they left behind. In the wake of this, Kaleb and Ryan desperately wanted to do something to help. They started approaching other musicians and bands to put together a special compilation album to help raise money to go towards the on-going relief efforts.

Together they have founded Artists for Disaster Relief (www.afdrmusic.com), an organization they set up to bring musicians together to fund charity efforts around the world. Their first project, “Arecibo” is a compilation album to be released on January 9th via Pledge Music with all proceeds going to Friends of Puerto Rico (www.friendsofpuertorico.org.)

With over a 30-year career Boston’s best dressed band has built and continue to build a devoted following with their unique brass-infused brand of punk rock. “The Mighty Mighty BossToneS and I are extremely amped about the upcoming shows. We’ve been enjoying the time we’ve been spending together working on the tenth full-length BossToneS release, WHILE WE’RE AT IT so it seemed like a good idea to roll on out and into some live action BossToneS good fun.” --says frontman Dicky Barrett

While We’re at It, slated for release this summer is the final part of a musical trilogy that began with Pinpoints and Gin Joints in 2009. With the songs fully recorded, the band has been busy applying finishes touches. “I describe the album as the very best of what we do best, other members of the band are calling it our best album. Collectively we all can’t wait for people to hear it!” -- says Barrett

The Mighty Mighty BossToneS have been a staple in the music world since the 1980’s and have racked up more tour miles than they can probably remember. Over the years they’ve earned the reputation as one of the hardest touring bands in rock and they are still going strong.  In December of 2016 they released a limited edition 7”, their version of the song "What the World Needs Now Is Love" (produced by Lawrence Katz and the BossToneS and mixed by Paul Kolderie) featuring an unreleased original BossToneS song "I Won't Go Out Like That” as the B-side. 2017 saw the band headline Riot Fest, play the 20th Anniversary of their highly successful and long-standing holiday party, The HomeTown ThrowDown and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh presented them with a proclamation declaring December 28th Mighty Mighty BossToneS day in the city of Boston.

A Jersey City psych-rock duo channeling the spirit of 70’s-era Pink Floyd and My Morning Jacket, with a splash of afrobeat tendencies. The band debuted two original songs “Walk Tall” and “Panic Attack” in 2019 and have more single song releases leading to their debut EP release this Summer. Today they pay tribute to the Grateful Dead with the release of their video version of “Brokedown Palace.” The song will be available at all streaming platforms on Friday, February 28. The band decided to record “Brokedown Palace” as part of The Dead Covers Project 2020. "Our manager Pete, a long-time friend and fellow Deadhead, put the Dead Covers Project on our radar and told us we need to be a part of this. As soon as I heard we needed to pick a tune from American Beauty or Workingman's Dead, "Brokedown Palace" was my first choice. Before I could answer, Donny had already replied to the thread, "how about Brokedown?" As usual, Donny and I were on that same telepathic BLUEOX vibe we always have,” explained Sullivan. "This song hits me so deep in the heart and soul, as I know it does for many of us Deadheads. I ran into a lot of trouble in my teens, and in the summer of ‘94 I ran off to Giants Stadium to see the Dead and didn't come back for quite some time. The music and the culture were always there for me and brought me back to the light and love."

"We aimed to capture the spirit of "Brokedown Palace" while interpreting the song our own way. This recording features just Kieran and I on all instruments and vocals, but the goal was to have it feel like a band,” says Dykowsky. “The companion video for our version of the song features in-studio recording footage, and the full band running the song live at our rehearsal space. Keeping with the spirit of BLUEOX and the Grateful Dead, the source material is coupled with trippy animations, liquid light visuals, and lyrics."
