GMP Live presents an evening with Big Gigantic at the open-air amphitheater in Miami Beach, the North Beach Bandshell on Thursday, May 6.

Big Gigantic established itself as a pioneer of live electronic music with the band's inception in 2008. The Colorado-based saxophonist/producer, Dominic Lalli, and drummer, Jeremy Salken, are veterans of blending electronic dance music with their live instruments to create Big G's truly unique sound; a sound that is as thoughtful as it is danceable. Big Gigantic mixes musically mature melodies with addictive beats and samples and crosses all styles of music from jazz to hip hop, funk to dubstep.

This concert will be presented with mandatory COVID-19 safety protocols. The North Beach Bandshell is an open-air venue, and capacity will be reduced to 25% to ensure social distancing measures. All seats will be purchased as pods of 2, 4, or 6 tickets, and fans must stay in their assigned pod at all times (other than to use the bathroom). Masks will be required at all times. Food and beverage will be purchased online and delivered to your seat.

Since the release of Free Your Mind in early 2020, Big Gigantic have spent the better part of the year hitting new milestones over a decade into their career. Their live performance of “Friends” with Ashe at Red Rocks was NPR Music Live Sessions’ “Song of the Day” while the song continued to spread to legendary stations like KCRW (Los Angeles) and KROX (Austin). The coming months also saw them deliver a mix on BBC Radio 1 for Diplo and Friends while receiving extensive editorial support across Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music. Tastemaker outlets rallied behind Free Your Mind as well, praising the album as “a beautiful melodic soundscape with lush melodies ” (Your EDM) and “a truly unique 13-track experience ” (This Song Is Sick).

Tickets on May 6, 2021, on sale on Friday, March 5 at 10 am.
