Green Tea was formed in the fall of 2000 when a group of local musicians, artists & friends got together to jam. Since the inception Green Tea has been about songwriting, improvisation, musicianship & sharing that energy with a live audience. During the fall of 2005 the band recorded its first studio CD entitled "The Healing". That debut disc along with a slew of Gigs in the Northeast has pushed Green Tea out onto the Jamband scene.

Over his four-decade career, David Olney has built a reputation not as a kind-hearted troubadour but rather as a performing songwriter possessed of a sharp literary mind that cuts to the bone of the human condition. Whether the subject matter is heartbreak or armed robbery, Olney's cinematic style and fearless approach to lyric writing have won him renown as kind of a musical outlaw.

In little more than two months, the grasslands of northeastern Kansas will be filled with the sounds of electric music and fun-loving party goers. While organizers put the finishing touches on the 2007 Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival, set for June 7-10 at Clinton State Park in Lawrence, Kan., music lovers from across the country are planning their trips to the Midwest.

As my wife and I walked into the quiet venue to the opening sounds of vibraphonist Sean McCaul, we could hear the delicate clanking of forks, voices whispering, and the sonorous vibes echoing relaxing notes into the dining area. The venue was set up like a dining hall tonight with tables with groups of people gently conversing while McCaul supplied the ultimate background ambiance.
