"We are thrilled to bring the She Rises Music Festival to Taos again," says festival founder Andrea Magee. "It's more than just music—it's about empowerment, community, and making a difference. Led by Andrea Magee, Music Helps employs a range of initiatives and programs aimed at harnessing the therapeutic power of music to uplift and support individuals in challenging circumstances. Through endeavors like delivering weekly music workshops at Helping Hand Home for children who have suffered from severe abuse and trauma, Music Helps has witnessed remarkable results, spreading hope and healing through the universal language of music.

“By attending She Rises, festival-goers not only enjoy an incredible musical experience but also contribute to making a meaningful impact in communities worldwide,” said Andrea Magee. “Our nonprofit facilitates access to music education, therapeutic programs, and community initiatives, empowering individuals and underserved communities while also providing leadership and employment opportunities for women in the music industry.”

The 2023 She Rises festival commenced with a captivating performance by an eight-member indigenous choir, offering a blessing and setting the tone for a day of transformative music and community, amplifying female voices. Culminating in a collective celebration of the spirit and strength of women, the festival concluded with the audience singing, dancing, and embracing the motto "When She Rises, We Rise," a sentiment palpably felt by all.

Last year’s lineup also included unforgettable live sets from 3x GRAMMY® Award Winner Shawn Colvin, 3x GRAMMY® Nominated Debut Solo Album "Outside Child," artist Allison Russell, GRAMMY® Nominated KT Tunstall, Latin GRAMMY® Nominated Album "La Que Manda," artist Gina Chavez and many more.
