MONOLITH and AEG Live Rocky Mountains have partnered to co-produce the inaugural MONOLITH Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on September 14 and 15, 2007. 

MONOLITH will host over 70 "emerging artists" – from international headliners to unknowns - making this the first music festival of its kind for Colorado, and the only annual "destination" event for music's legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

On April 14, Georgia Tech played house to "Barbecue and Bluegrass", a two part event featuring an early evening meal of rib sticking barbeque followed by some good ol pickin from 3 very talented Bluegrass Bands: Peachtree Station; Hot Buttered Rum; and Cherryholmes.

Many musicians who stage their very existence through live art seem to have trouble rolling over that passion into studio projects.  The atmosphere changes drastically, and for many can stifle the creative process.  However, those who embrace this medium can translate very well and generally reward the listener with real substance.

There is a new trend in the music industry today, bands which have been broken up for decades reforming suddenly in order to cash in on the pocketbooks and prosperity of their baby-boomer generation fans.

For a weekday during spring break, the North Star Bar in Philadelphia was vacant, but the musicians came to play anyway.  Starting with the opening band, a new local jam band named Mogel's Brew, all of the musicians played with emotion and soul. It was really nice to see and hear a band that I would classify as a young jam band.
