Today the Rex Foundation releases A Buck Dancer’s Choice. The 19-song live compilation, culled from a very special December 1, 2012 performance at The Fillmore in San Francisco, features choice selections from that evening’s three sets of incredible music - opened by members of ALO, followed by an acoustic solo Bob Weir set, and then The Mickey Hart Band with Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools on bass.

The Capitol Theatre has set aside its very best seats for a charitable program to send area schoolteachers to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland for a week of intensive curriculum training. Concertgoers can bid on the coveted Presidential Box—four seats directly overlooking the stage—for most events at the historic Theatre, including recent performances by B.B. King, The Black Crowes, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Drive-By Truckers, Phish's Trey Anastasio, and Furthur's 9-show sold-out run kicking off this week.

The Melodic Caring Project (MCP), the Seattle-based non-profit founded by musician Levi Ware and his wife Stephanie, has already brought the healing power of music directly to the hospital beds of more than 100 critically-ill children since it officially launched a year ago. This unique marriage of music and technology is now expanding its ability to reach patients through new partnerships with the global Starlight Children's Foundation as well as with Seattle area music event resources.

The teachers of Sandy Hook went back to school last week, a reality that is nothing short of gut-wrenching. As a typical member of the community located hundreds of miles away, I can do nothing but sit and imagine the teachers, parents and children enduring these fresh memories and new moments.

There are several opportunities available, now, to show our support to Sandy Hook. But I wanted to do something different. Something that the Sandy Hook community could touch, feel, wear.

We are happy to announce that musician/actor/activist Steve Earle has been added to the bill and that legendary musician, surfer and activist Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam along with music aficionados NHL All-Star Henrik Lundqvist of the NY Rangers and former NY Ranger fan favorite, restaurateur Sean Avery have signed on as underwriters for On the Beach-A Sandy Relief Concert.
