Flatiron Recordings is thrilled to announce the release of a full-length album, The Prize, by the talented Hannah Wicklund, scheduled for January 12th, 2024. In addition, fans can now enjoy her latest single, “Hell In The Hallway,” available on all major streaming platforms.

“Hell In The Hallway,” co-written by Hannah Wicklund and Stevie Aiello of 30 Seconds to Mars, serves as the haunting fourth single from The Prize. The track weaves a narrative of resilience and strength, urging listeners to persist through challenges and silence the deceptive whispers that seek to mislead.

The Prize features an array of songs that have matured over time, akin to siblings growing up together. The tracks were crafted in Wicklund's childhood home and refined across the country, culminating in a record that exemplifies raw feminine power and determination. The album showcases soaring melodies, anthemic choruses, and a captivating blend of musical influences.

Sam Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet contributes his talents on bass, keys, and organ, while Daniel Wagner, also of Greta Van Fleet, joins on drums. Together, they help to bring Wicklund's vision to life, creating an album that resonates with listeners on multiple levels.

Beyond her musical talents, Wicklund is a multimedia creative who navigates seamlessly between music and visual art. Each track on The Prize is accompanied by a large-scale oil painting, with each piece contributing to a cohesive visual narrative set in a castle floating on a cloud.

Both the music and visual art of The Prize explore the journey into womanhood, addressing themes of self-trust, empowerment, and the universal experience of growth and self-discovery. “This album was so radically healing for me, and I hope it can inspire and perhaps play a role in someone else’s story,” says Wicklund. “I want us all to remember, it can be lonely and is never easy ‘doing the work’, but we are each worthy of our own love, time, and dedication.”

Hannah Wicklund is currently opening for Devon Gilfillian, and she will be joining Greta Van Fleet for the European and UK leg of their Starcatcher tour in November.
