Celebrated Louisiana musician and songwriter Jimmy Wooten is thrilled to announce the release of his debut solo album, "Collision Course," available on all digital platforms starting Friday, May 10.

This self-produced album, a collaborative effort with Travis Bishop, features a vibrant collection of fourteen tracks. It includes the hit single "Love Won’t Wait," currently available for streaming now.

Jimmy Wooten brings a unique blend of musical expertise to the album, performing on drums, bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and lead vocals. He is supported by talented artists Cody Lowery, Travis Bishop, Eddy Dunlop, and Kyle Roop. The album's eclectic mix of country, rock, blues, soul, and jazz not only highlights Wooten's versatile musical style but also embodies the spirit captured in the album's title, "Collision Course."

Discussing the creative inspiration behind the album, Wooten shared, "This album was meant to be a melting pot of genres. The title track, 'Collision Course,' came to me in a dream. I woke up and wrote down the entire chorus within minutes. It’s an ode to the highs and lows of tour life and the pressures of being away from loved ones."

Though this marks his solo debut, Jimmy Wooten has a rich musical background. Raised in a musical family, he toured internationally and shared stages with notable artists including The Steel Woods, Uncle Lucious, Joshua Ray Walker, Dennis Quiad, Marty Stewart, Vince Gill, Tab Benoit, Josh Weathers, Casey Donahew, and more. Wooten also spent five years touring with country legend Neal McCoy, enriching his experience in the music industry. Recently, the joys of family life have fueled his inspiration to embark on a solo career, with his children giving him the confidence to pursue his passion independently.
