Award-winning public relations and marketing firm PLA Media is pleased to announce edgy, rock troubadour Jefferson Grizzard as a new client.

“We’re happy to work with Jefferson on the unique sound he brings to the table and to partner with Backporch Syndicate Records,” says Pam Lewis, President/CEO of PLA Media.

Bob Dylan infused with a bit of Neil Young, Donovan and Kris Kristofferson is one way to describe the young rocker and songwriter.  Jefferson joins other award-winning clients such as Big Machine recording artist and chart-topping powerhouse Justin Moore, legendary country artist Lynn Anderson, Oak Ridge Boy member William Lee Golden, former Warped Tour rocker Jett Mason and YouTube sensation Jessica Frech.

Hailing from Rome, Georgia, Jefferson started writing and playing guitar at the age of 13 and, by the time he was 18, had written more than 100 songs. He cites seminal acts such as The Beatles and acclaimed and influential roots rock group The Band as being major influences in the music that he writes. Shortly after graduating high school, he spent a year at St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas before deciding to pursue music full time. During his time in Austin, Jefferson continued writing and going to local clubs studying the different acts on stage. From time-to-time he would muster up the courage to get up on stage and instinctively knew this was where he belonged.

His current album, A Crack in the Door, which is produced by Ben McRee and released on Backporch Syndicate Records, is a reflection of his roots in 60’s and 70’s rock & roll with a sliver of folk.
