Steve Kimock Crazy Engine Summer Tour

Steve Kimock Crazy Engine moves ahead and picks up steam, as the musical train continues on down the tracks toward select summer dates, including a show at the The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, and stops at several festivals throughout the summer. Melding rock, rhythm and blues, gospel and soul, and much more, the latest project teams up Steve Kimock with legendary Melvin Seals of the Jerry Garcia Band. As the hype surrounding Crazy Engine grows, so too does the passion of the band itself and the desire to push the boundaries, meaning fans can expect new material, revisited Kimock installments and crafty covers. Crazy Engine kicks off August in Denver, CO, with the Dancin' In The Streets festival before heading to New Jersey for the Aug. 14 show at the Stone Pony. The next day the band is set to play Bear's Picnic in Milton, PA, before heading off to Europe for a two-week tour.

kimockKimock’s life passion is the art of guitar and for nearly 40 years he has influenced countless musicians and put his signature on melodic improvisation. As testament to his skill as a guitar artisan, Relix Magazine coined Kimock the “guitar monk” for his relentless pursuit of the art of guitar and Jerry Garcia touted Kimock as his favorite guitar player in Rolling Stone Magazine. Kimock explores all facets of music and captures the spirit of his audiences with his eloquent six-string voice and mastery of tone.

The long-awaited project features legendary Hammond B3 player Melvin Seals, best known for his work with the Jerry Garcia Band. It is a true honor for Kimock to be joined on stage by his son and drummer, John Morgan Kimock.

Through his storied career with bands such as ZERO, the Other Ones, Phil Lesh & Friends, RatDog, Rhythm Devils and the Steve Kimock Band, Kimock has also shared the stage with such a long list of luminaries it would be impossible to include everyone.
