As a dead center member of Generation X, I know all too well what it’s like to live with the Baby Boomers’ bullshit for, well, ever. As a kid growing up I had to endure their hijacking of pop culture long after their ideas and youth and influence were actually relevant. I’ve had Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and the Rolling Stones shoved down my throat as the gold standard for rock and roll for as long as I’ve been able to draw breath.  Jimi Hendrix is the greatest and there is no disputing it.

Award-winning Canadian soul-bluesman Matt Andersen recently announced the release of his upcoming album, Halfway Home by Morning (True North Records) — available worldwide Friday, March 22, 2019. This release will include upcoming singles, "Free Man" and "Quarter on the Ground,” which will both be released Friday, January 18, 2019.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee Bobby LaVell gained an interest in music while in high school. He became proficient on the Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet and Piano while pursuing formal musical studies at Memphis State (now the University of Memphis), and Shelby State College. Bobby also studied and became proficient as an arranger and composer during that time. Bobby' s formal education continued with composition studies with Bob Brookmeyer and Manny Albam at the B.M.I. Jazz Composers Workshop.

On Thursday, May 2nd, 2019, Vermont-based Twiddle and Baltimore-based Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will co-headline the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a historic moment in the history of both bands. "What's really cool about this show is that we and the Pigeons have been friends and playing together for years when we were drawing 200 people and now, 5 years later, we are headlining Red Rocks together," shares Mihali Savoulidis of Twiddle.
