Erik Vincent Huey releases his debut, Appalachian Gothic, today through the Orchard/CEN and his own Appalachian AF Records. The album was recorded at Cowboy Technical Studios in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and produced by Eric “Roscoe” Ambel, the legendary Rock ‘n’ Roll guitarist (Joan Jett, Del-Lords, Steve Earle & The Dukes) and producer (Bottle Rockets, Jimbo Mathus, Yayhoos, Sarah Borges).

Modern roots-rock band Rose’s Pawn Shop releases their latest single “Fugitive” as they gear up to release their long-awaited new album Punch-Drunk Life on February 24 via KZZ Music. With twangy notes surrounded by lush harmonies, “Fugitive” is a double entendre, recalling a metaphorical fugitive trying to escape an emotional past.

Sonic worlds collide, between the structure, arrangement and precision studio recordings of rock legends Steely Dan, cross-pollinated with the Grateful Dead’s free-flowing, melodic improvisation and masterful song segues. Steely Dead merges these major concepts together while infusing the influence unto each band. For example, taking the Grateful Dead’s rocking set ender Deal and Steely Dan’s Reelin’ In the Years creating the mashup Dealin’ in the Years.

Today, The National has announced the release of its ninth studio album, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, due April 28, 2023 via 4AD. Anchored by evocative melodies and an enthralling lyrical narrative, First Two Pages of Frankenstein signals a new chapter in the band’s beloved discography. The 11-song album was produced by The National at Long Pond Studios in upstate New York and features guest appearances by Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers and Sufjan Stevens.

Time Sawyer is set to release its 7th studio album, Dig a Little Deeper on March 10, 2023. The record explores the human failings that get in the way of finding true connection with one another and forging our authentic path in the world.
