Congratulations to Bonobo, who today earned two GRAMMY Nominations in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category and is now a 5-time GRAMMY Nominee.    

The nominations are for: *“Heartbreak,” by Bonobo and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. The song was issued in November 2020 and was the first single released on Bonobo’s own OUTLIER label, a partnership with Ninja Tune.

Grammy-winning Queen of Bluegrass Rhonda Vincent receives her eighth Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album, 'Music Is What I See.' The album was produced by Rhonda Vincent & Engineered by Grammy-Winning engineer Joey Crawford. Rhonda’s Grammy-winning band “The Rage” shared their world-class musicianship for the project. The songs included were written by writers from the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, Writers of the Year, Grand Ole Opry stars, and the first-ever bluegrass version of the classic “Unchained Melody.”

The first-ever blues album from Gov’t Mule, Heavy Load Blues, has officially debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart, marking the renowned quartet’s third album in their storied career to enter the Billboard charts at the top spot.

The Mimi Fishman Foundation just launched a new on-line charity auction.  The auction features official tour posters signed by all four members of the band.  All stops of the 2021 Summer tour are included from Arkansas to Colorado.  The auction is currently live and concludes December 16, 2021.   Posters from the recently completed fall tour will be featured in a future auction.

Single Lock Records, the artist-run and independent Southern American music label, congratulates Cedric Burnside, Cha Wa and The Blind Boys of Alabama on their 2022 GRAMMY Award nominations for releases on Single Lock this year.

Congratulations to Rhiannon Giddens & Francesco Turrisi. Their album They’re Calling Me Home (Nonesuch) was nominated for two GRAMMY Awards today: Best Folk Album and Best American Roots Song for “Avalon” (Giddens’ first nomination in this category). Giddens is now an 8-time nominee and won a GRAMMY Award in 2010 for Best Traditional Folk Album for Genuine Negro Jig.

Jackson Browne has received a GRAMMY nomination for Best Americana Album, for Downhill From Everywhere.

"Jackson Browne has uniquely and consistently delivered brilliant albums and songs throughout his career,” said Jed Hilly, Executive Director of the Americana Music Association. “He's been a defining Americana artist, not just for the songs he gives to us but also for his thoughtful lyrics and craftsmanship to address the times we live in.”

Throughout his brief but influential life, Charlie “Bird” Parker made an enormous impact on popular music as one of the architects of modern jazz. The jazz titan, inarguably one of the greatest saxophonists of all time, grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and spent much of his adult life in New York, but Los Angeles nonetheless looms large in his musical life as he spent more time in L.A. than anywhere outside of K.C. and N.Y.
