The Disco Biscuits delivered a tasty setlist of jamtronica in their hometown of Philadelphia, PA at The Mann Center last night. They were joined by frequent cohorts, Lotus, plus a DJ set by Luke the Knife for an evening of high energy dance music. This was the second night of the City Bisco run, which replaced the beloved Camp Bisco this year, as it was not possible to safely hold the festival because of the covid-19 pandemic.

After a long year of waiting to honor its 2020 class of inductees, the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame will hold inductions for its 2020 and 2021 class on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Kannapolis, North Carolina. The 2020 inductees, announced last year during the COVID-19 pandemic, included six nationally known and award-winning legends from North Carolina: The Briarhoppers, Jermaine Dupri, Donald Lawrence, Michael T Mauldin, Charles Whitfield, and the Squirrel Nut Zippers.

Soul Land Records announces new compilation Soul Land Music Series: Volume 1 out August 6, a collection of live music inspired by the life of spiritual teacher and cultural icon, Baba Ram Dass. With the announcement, they share first compilation single “Mid-America Motel” from Experimental-Americana band Dirtwire featuring Ram Dass and accompanying music video by acclaimed visual artist Johnathan Singer (Grateful Dead, Tipper, Dead & Company).
