Today, Electric Forest (EF)
On May 25, 2017, I packed up my car, picked up my brother-in-law, and headed to Chillicothe, IL for the annual Summer Camp Music Festival. However, I was not going there primarily to see Moe. and Umphrey’s McGee, along with a host of others, but to work a booth as a nonprofit. It provided a very interesting and honestly, one heck of an different experience.
Universal Sigh, Ever Upward Entertainment, and Live Wire Athens have announced the full lineup for the third Annual Sigh In July Music & Arts Festival! The festival takes place all day and night on July 21 & 22 at Live Wire in Athens, GA. Headliners Universal Sigh and Voodoo Visionary will be joined by more than a dozen acts including Athens based jazz wizards, Kenosha Kid, Groove Fetish and Jahman Brahman of North Carolina, and Cycles from Denver, Colorado.
The 15th annual Joshua Tree Music Festival descended upon the Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground May 18 – 21, 2017. Just as years past, the lineup was chock full of artists from all over the globe, representing the local desert area, up and down the western seaboard, UK, Peru, South Korea, and Netherlands among other places. Boston Calling returned to Boston, MA, this past weekend in an entirely new form – a venue that featured grass. Previously held in Boston’s City Hall Plaza, this year’s festival was held at the Harvard Athletic Complex, trading the concrete ground of downtown Boston for the open-space fields of Cambridge’s most elite school.

The 2nd Annual Jam In The Trees is a two day, Americana music-themed event that takes place at Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain, NC! With bands playing on both the beautiful Outdoor Stage, and the more intimate Indoor Taproom Stage Friday and Saturday, August 25 and 26, 2017. There are unique vendors and local food trucks on-site, and of course award-winning Pisgah Brewing beer.
Recently, we at Grateful Web had the opportunity to chat with Elise Olmstead, the founder of the jam-based musical magazine The Jamwich and The Mad Tea Party Jam. Our conversation focused on The Mad Tea Party Jam, a music festival in Artemas, PA every year. She founded the festival with her husband Taco.
Believe me when I say the most important part of the Grateful Dead is… family. And that idea lives on in the northeast’s premier family-friendly festival celebrating the life and music of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia, known simply as Jerry Jam. Family is what the music creates and family is what this intimate festival full of music and kid friendly activities will create July 21st through the 23rd.
