Vibrant funk masters, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, introduce a fresh wave of euphoric sound with their brand-new single "My Own Way." The single exemplifies yet another creative leap forward for the band, blending profound lyrical introspection with serious musicianship.

Released today, "My Own Way" serves as a compelling preview to the band's much-anticipated seventh studio album, Day In Time, set to electrify the airwaves on April 26, 2024.

This latest single encapsulates the enduring spirit of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong’s signature sound, with swirling guitars and infectious rhythms that invite music lovers to groove along. Frontman “Scrambled Greg” Ormont endows the track with purpose, highlighting the resiliency that lives within us all, stating, “No one’s perfect, we all make mistakes. The real question is, ‘are you going to let your past bring down your future?’”

As the members of Maryland's own psychedelic sonic force evolve both personally and musically, “My Own Way” teases what is set to be a deeply cohesive album. Describable as snapshots of a longstanding career that has seen the band seize countless hallmark moments while amassing a devoted following known as “The Flock,” a driving force behind this latest creative surge is collective collaboration.

“Musically, we all chipped in on this one,” shares Greg. “We recently started sharing songs with each other digitally and it has resulted in tons of new ideas. This one started with a rough draft of mine, which Jeremy loved and helped craft into something more rich and nuanced. I’m always excited to hear everyone’s contributions, I truly believe our songs are better when all four of us have our fingerprints on them.”

The dynamic quartet has built a reputation for transcendent live shows, which has paved the way for a bustling spring and summer touring schedule. Fans can look forward to the high-octane "Pigeons Frasco Dogs" tour, featuring Andy Frasco and the U.N. and Dogs in a Pile, followed by a string of major festival appearances across the country.
