Today the Rex Foundation releases A Buck Dancer’s Choice. The 19-song live compilation, culled from a very special December 1, 2012 performance at The Fillmore in San Francisco, features choice selections from that evening’s three sets of incredible music - opened by members of ALO, followed by an acoustic solo Bob Weir set, and then The Mickey Hart Band with Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools on bass.
ALO and Ryan Montbleau Band have put together a special 2-song compilation of free music to share with fans in celebration of their upcoming joint tour dates. Bringing a vibrant blend of intelligent danceable grooves, ALO and Ryan Montbleau Band are excited to embark on an 8-date double-billed tour that officially kicks off today, April 18th in Milwaukee, WI.
Fresh on the heels of a sold out show at Portland, Oregon’s Star Theatre, Fruition are poised to embark on a spring tour across the Northern half of the US. Their 22-date trek includes select shows opening for Greensky Bluegrass and ALO as well as a festival appearance at Some Kind of Jam 8.
This April, ALO and Ryan Montbleau Band are teaming up for an 8-date tour with shows throughout the Midwest and East Coast. A little bit of funk, a little bit of soul and a whole lot of groove have established both ALO and Ryan Montbleau Band as favorites on the live music scene, endearing them to fans from coast to coast.
I have to admit, I like to take an angle when I write. Often times, I will have a phrase or concept thought out, which may be developed into an introduction, even before I go to see a band. How can that be, you may be asking. Well, most of the bands I review I have seen before and I can figure out what to expect. But, last Sunday night's show left me dumbfounded.
