Bob Weir

Last night was fun...the problems were many and it was quite revealing to me why I have moved on from this scene and band, but I had a great time singing and dancing and especially enjoyed all the ballads!

Navigating the undulating route of HWY 93 from Boulder, our trusty VW Bus, along with the countless others migrating from the north, was a spectator to a spectacular lightning display. There's an ongoing jest between my friends and I about the contrast we experience when we leave our tranquil Boulder bubble, venturing into Jefferson County where factories and urban sprawl replace our cherished open landscapes.

The Dead just played the Bonnaoo Music Festival in Manchester, TN.  We just got news of the setlist, check it out here:

The Grateful Web sat down with Mark Karan, guitarist for RatDog, backstage at the Paramount Theater in Denver to talk about the status of the jamband scene, changing demographics at the shows, Weir's insatiable need to be on the road and why Karan knows he is lucky as hell to be getting paid (and laid) to play with Bobby.
