Ian Anderson's HOMO ERRATICUS due April 15

Legendary prog pioneer Ian Anderson will be releasing a new studio album Homo Erraticus on April 15 on his own Calliandra Records, distributed by Kscope. The album continues with the story of Anderson's favorite enfant terrible Gerald Bostock.

Ian and his band (guitarst Florian Opahle, bassist David Goodier, keyboardist John O'Hara and drummer Scott Hammond, and singer Ryan O'Donnell) will be touring the United States this September through November.

Head for the Hills Announces 2014 Spring Tour

The newgrass quartet has announced their 2014 Spring Tour. The tour sees the group in the Western US and Colorado. It begins in Portland, and then ventures to Sisters OR, Seattle, WA and Eugene, OR. From there H4TH visits California for an evening Phil Lesh’s famed venue, Terrapin Crossroads, for an early set and late set in the bar surrounding Leftover Salmon’s performance in the Grate Room. A stop in Nevada City precedes a two night run at the Crystal Bay Casino performing two special after-shows following Leftover Salmon.

John McLaughlin & the 4th Dimension to Release Live Album

During the summer of 2013, guitar legend John McLaughlin and his trailblazing band The 4th Dimension – Gary Husband on keyboards and drums, Etienne Mbappe on bass, and Ranjit Barot on drums and vocals – a rare tour across America. On June 22nd they performed at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. This extraordinary concert was recorded and is now being released as McLaughlin’s latest work, The Boston Record.
