PAPADOSIO “captures the sound of the digital age” (Sensible Reason 2015) but this month they are curating a celebration of natural forces with the fifth installment of Earth Night. The two-night event kicks off on December 18th at Terminal West where Papadosio will present their rare, live improvisational PA set along with special guests Third Nature and Numatik. On Saturday December 19th, the celebration continues at the historic Tabernacle Atlanta.

For nearly 17 years, Yonder Mountain String Band has redefined bluegrass music, expanding the traditional acoustic genre beyond its previously established boundaries by steadily pushing the envelope into the realms of rock n' roll and improvisation. YMSB has always played music of their own design, in the process attracting a devout coterie of fans that often resembles a tight knit family on an epic musical journey as Yonder traverses the country with an ever-rigorous tour schedule.

In April 2015, Matt Reynolds released his first album. You may be asking, “Who is this Matt Reynolds you speak of?” If the name sounds familiar at all, you may know him as tour manager for Dark Star Orchestra. Reynolds has been touring with the band since 2006, and had help recording this new album called Been Long Gone from rhythm guitarist, Rob Eaton. Eaton is not the only big name off of this new album, which was recorded as Dark Star Orchestra toured across America.

Perpetual Groove is back. Playing in Denver for the first time since February of 2012, they settled into their two-night run at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on Friday with a show that stretched into the wee hours of Saturday morning. The four piece trance rock outfit is riding high with their return to the stage after a two year hiatus; rejuvenated after a collision course of self-discovery and introspective exploration.

In the month of October in Denver, we were lucky enough to have a creative troupe with a mission to blend beautiful music with advanced technology, production, and art, and turn it into a modern day rock opera called The Portal. It seemed like Burning Man’s version of the Wall by Pink Floyd. It is a dark, but light tale of a man’s journey through his soul.
