Memorial Day weekend, Monterey Fairgrounds played host to the ninth annual, three-day reggae movement known as Cali Roots. In the three days, Grateful Web was at Cali Roots, there was one word we just kept hearing over and over again; “Homecoming.” From fans we met in the crowd to artists we spoke with behind the scenes, it seemed to be the magic word that everyone could relate to. But to say Cali Roots is a homecoming would be if anything, an understatement.

Reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION has released their new self-titled full-length studio album today (5/18) via their own label, Three Prong Records.

It’s that time again, folks. The one and only California Roots is coming around again, and this year’s festival promises to be the best one yet. Over just less than a decade, Cali Roots has evolved from a small get together into a family reunion of sorts for Reggae fans from near and far. For so many, Cali Roots is more than three days of Reggae music, it is a small peek into what life can be in a world with a little less animosity, and a little more love.

As the winter darkness quickly replaced the twilight on the Bella Vista Ranch and Polo Club in Summerland, local DJ’s Suzanne X, Matty Matt, Gavin Roy and Zeke took over the music at the Kick Ash After Bash. Much of the crowd, especially those with children departed from the day-long event. But they were quickly replaced by a whole new crowd of the after-show ticket holders. Concert-goers were greeted with a continued supply of complimentary food and beverages that kept everyone in a festive mood in the cold evening air.

As they prepare to begin their fall headlining "Intergalactic Tour" later this month, reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION today (10/9) revealed their initial touring plans for 2018 with the announcement of the "Heatseekers Winter Tour 2018." The 14-date West Coast headlining trek--featuring support from The Movement and Tyrone's Jacket--commences January 18, 2018 in Bakersfield, CA and stops in Fresno, Sacramento (for back-to-back shows at Ace of Spades), Santa Cruz (for another two-night stand at The Catalyst), Chico, P

Reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION has announced their fall headlining "Intergalactic Tour" featuring support from Fortunate Youth and Through The Roots (on select dates). Tickets for the 19-date outing are now on sale to the public as of today (Friday, August 4).

As they prepare to spend the summer on tour with Slightly Stoopid, reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION released a brand new single "Fly With Me" this past Friday (May 19) as a special treat for their fans. And their legions of followers returned the favor when the song debuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae Songs chart that day.

In addition to their many musical interests, the members of reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION are avid sports enthusiasts, often spending their off-time playing golf and surfing wherever they can, as well as cheering on their favorite professional teams. Today (3/21), band members Micah Pueschel (lead vocals/guitar) and Micah Brown (guitar/vocals) will be the featured musical guest on Callaway Golf's online weekly show, "Callaway Live," alongside LPGA professional golfer, fellow Hawaiian and IRATION fan/friend, Michelle Wie.

Reggae-influenced alternative rock band IRATION will hit the road this summer with their friends Slightly Stoopid as the main support on the "Sounds of Summer 2017" tour.

Everybody’s past has a soundtrack. It’s an often-random selection of music that has accompanied, and in some cases, defined stages of our lives. As we grow older, tastes change and more is added to the soundtrack. Songs and artists are archived in our memory, assigned specific events or entire periods of our lives.

Until listening to this album, I had no clue the extent to which Iration is the soundtrack of my young adulthood.
