NYC trio Consider the Source defy easy description. If intergalactic beings of pure energy, after initiation into an order of whirling dervishes, built some kind of pan-dimensional booty-shaking engine, powered by psychedelics and abstract math, it’d probably just sound like a CTS tribute band. The weekend shows are a part of the band’s annual “A Dick’s Jaunt,” a two-day pre and post event happening around the Phish Dick’s shows. The Friday and Saturday event will take place at On Key Psychedelic Ripple. Sneaky Pete and The Secret Weapons will join the band on Friday for rotating sets and there are still a number of artists to be announced throughout the weekend.

Hot off a Midwest and Colorado run, Boston’s own The Jauntee are once again touring the East Coast this Summer. The dynamic, improvisational quartet have been stacking up the miles over the last few tours and this one is no different. The Jauntee will see return dates at venues like American Beauty in NYC, The Camel in Richmond, and Aisle 5 in Atlanta, and a bi-weekly residency in July at The 8x10 in Baltimore. The band’s long awaited return to Florida and a late-night set at this year’s Peach Festival have also been announced.
