The Otis Redding Foundation held their annual O’Tis The Season holiday benefit concert with a packed house at the historic Capitol Theatre in Macon, GA on Saturday night. The unforgettable night featured a stellar performance by five-time Grammy Award-winning artist CeeLo Green, who mesmerized the audience with his unmatched musical prowess.

The Otis Redding Foundation is thrilled to announce that the five-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, producer, television personality, and entrepreneur, CeeLo Green, will be a special guest at the Foundation's annual O'Tis The Season holiday benefit concert and fundraiser, which takes place on December 9th at the historic Capitol Theater in Macon, Georgia.

The Otis Redding Foundation proudly presented the 2nd Annual King of Soul Music Festival, two days dedicated to celebrating the enduring influence of the legendary soul singer, Otis Redding. The festival, held on September 8th and 9th, 2023, at the Macon City Auditorium and Capitol Theatre, delivered an unforgettable tribute to Otis Redding's musical legacy and his profound impact on the world.

The Otis Redding Foundation is proud to announce the inclusion of distinguished honorees and renowned talent for its highly anticipated 2nd Annual King of Soul Music Festival taking place on September 8th and 9th in the heart of Macon, Georgia. The Festival is a celebration of the timeless legacy of the legendary Otis Redding, who rose to prominence rooted in the heart of Macon.

In its heyday, Stax Records was synonymous with soul music’s biggest stars – from Otis Redding and Carla Thomas to Sam & Dave and the Staple Singers. But behind their iconic hits was a talented team of songwriters. Craft Recordings celebrates the work of these unsung heroes with a brand-new collection, Written in Their Soul: The Stax Songwriter Demos.

On March 30, 2023, Otis Redding’s family attended the 2023 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia. Otis Redding’s daughter, Karla Redding-Andrews, accepted the four BMI Million-Air awards on behalf of the late legendary soul singer/songwriter.

The limited-edition vinyl releases will be available to purchase at independent record stores on Record Store Day 2021.

Otis Redding’s Lonely & Blue: The Deepest Soul of Otis Redding could pass for a title Stax/Volt might have released in the late ’60s. The look of the album reflects Stax’s design themes of the era. But in fact it’s a collection that never existed, until now, that homes in on one mood and one theme —heartbreaking, yearning ballads — of which Redding had many.

In 1966, Otis Redding had emerged not only as the star of Stax Records but as one of nation’s most influential soul singers. With his version of “Satisfaction” climbing the charts in April 1966, Redding arrived in Los Angeles to play both the Hollywood Bowl (as part of a KHJ-AM listener appreciation concert that also featured Donovan, Sonny & Cher and the Mamas & the Papas) and a four-nighter at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip.
