Pemberton Music Festival

The first official day of Pemberton Music Festival’s stacked three-day weekend went off with just a few hitches, but the chaotic atmosphere (much like the temperamental weather) did little to dampen the spirits of attendees. Despite the ups and downs of the weekend, you were hard-pressed to find a face that wasn’t smiling.

With music festivals popping up in seemingly every open field these days, it takes a lot to stand out—and even more to endure failure. Somehow, Pemberton Music Festival is doing both of those things this year. After a disastrous debut in 2008, Pemberton Festival weathered a few false starts before landing in the capable hands of Huka Entertainment, who have had a heavy hand in festival successes of recent years, including the burgeoning Hangout Festival.

Pemberton Music Festival, which has expanded to a five-‐day festival, will take place Wednesday, July 16 to Sunday, July 20.  With nearly 100 performances and six separate performance areas, including two main stages, two secondary stages, a dance tent and a comedy area, Pemberton Music Festival will be five glorious days of music, comedy, and camping on 300 clean, open acres in one of the most idyllic settings on Earth.
