Stony Plain Records announces a March 24, 2023, release date for Ridin’, the new album from two-time Grammy nominee and Blues/Roots music legend Eric Bibb. The label released the album’s first single, “Family,” on December 8.  Eric Bibb has already scheduled lengthy tours of Europe and Australia in the first quarter of 2023 to support the new album’s release.

Grandeur and a star-filled cast, along with soulful ballads, New Orleans-style funk, and plenty of raucous blues and rock abounded in the ornate, 2,800-capacity Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., as a 29-song, three-plus-hour production of The Last Waltz Tour 2022 wrapped up its two-night residency on December 3.

The Phantom Blues Band has backed Taj Mahal for about forever, and as first-call L.A. session cats, played behind lots of other greats, from Bonnie Raitt and Etta James to Joe Cocker and Bob Marley.  After years behind Taj, they began to release their own albums, and that’s told below.

The conversation will explore his incredible career and new music including the critically acclaimed recent album release Get On Board featuring Taj Mahal alongside former Rising Sons band mate, Ry Cooder. The event will also feature a live performance by Taj Mahal.
