Wreckless Strangers

The Bay Area’s Wreckless Strangers are thrilled to welcome the new year and bring their unique blend of “California Americana Soul” to a variety of winter gigs across Northern California. The band continues to grow its fanbase through its high-powered live performances and with airplay of their 2022 debut album When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide, which recently made WMOT Radio’s list of “Most Played 100 Albums of 2022.”

Bay Area music collective Wreckless Strangers brings California Americana Soul to top Bay Area fall festivals in September and October. With performances at Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival (Mill Valley, September 18), Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, October 2) and Sound Summit (Mount Tamalpais, October 22), the band continues to expand its audience reaching more live music fans with old favorites and songs from their debut album When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide.

Sound Summit, a musical gathering like no other, announces the return of the daylong festival set on the slopes of Mt. Tam on Saturday, October 22. Featuring a day of great music amidst the Bay Area’s favorite season, Sound Summit’s lineup includes The New Yorker-named “best American rock band of this decade,” The War On Drugs; critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Faye Webster;  beloved indie folk-rockers Fruit Bats; and soulful local ensemble Wreckless Strangers.

Wreckless Strangers are looking forward to hitting the road this summer in support of their new album When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide, which is garnering great reviews and acclaim. With dates throughout the summer and gigs all through the Bay Area and Northern California, there is ample opportunity to catch them live. Wreckless Strangers is a collective of top Bay Area session musicians and friends playing California Americana soul.

Wreckless Strangers are excited to announce the release of their debut album When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide. Out May 20, the project is produced by Grammy Award-winner Colin Linden (Bruce Cockburn, Alison Krauss / Robert Plant, Bob Dylan). The first single, "Sun State," is currently making waves on AAA and Americana Radio and features blues legend Charlie Musselwhite on harmonica.

Wreckless Strangers, Bay Area Americana troubadours noted for their prolific songwriting and energetic live shows, are set to play the newly re-opened Peri’s in downtown Fairfax on Friday, April 8. Peri’s is a true original and one of Marin County’s most beloved live music venues. Closed since the pandemic began, Peri’s opened its doors to the public on March 17.
