With less than 7 weeks until festivities begin, Desert Daze 2018 announces new lineup additions, daily schedules and new program information with more surprises on the way. The magnificent and quintessential shoegaze/dream pop group Slowdive joins the bill, along with modern West Coast psych rock/drone forerunners Wooden Shjips.

Magnolia Roads presents the 2nd Annual American Roots Saturday and Backyard Campfire Session at Dee’s Country Cocktail Lounge, inspired by the music that grew from the roots of America at honky-tonks and dive bars to backyards and campfires. It will feature artists who epitomize American Roots music through their blend of Bluegrass, Blues, Country, Folk, Jazz, and Rock n Roll, flavored with the deep grooves of the South.

The name Hot Tuna invokes as many different moods and reactions as there are Hot Tuna fans — millions of them. To some, Hot Tuna is a reminder of some wild and happy times. To others, that name will forever be linked to their own discovery of the power and depth of American blues and roots music. To newer fans, Hot Tuna is a tight, masterful duo that is on the cutting edge of great music.

During a years-long semi-hiatus, keyboardist/vocalist Steve Molitz remained busy with stints as keyboardist for Phil Lesh & Friends, Rich Robinson Band (Black Crowes) and guitarist Robby Krieger (The Doors), filling the venerable Ray Manzarek seat.
