Andy Hall, dobro and vocalist for the GRAMMY-award winning bluegrass band the Infamous Stringdusters, has announced the next single, “Amazing Grace,” from his forthcoming record, 12 Bluegrass Classics for Resophonic Guitar. The album is to be released next Friday, October 16, 2020 on Tape Time Records via Regime Music Group. Enjoy the song here on all streaming platforms, and the video here on YouTube.
“Amazing Grace is a special song for me,” shared Andy. “I selected it for this record and a single because I’ve played it at a number of memorials, including for both of my grandparents. And I’m sure we could all use a little grace from time to time.”
Together with the Artistworks platform, Andy is currently running a contest to give away a full year of VIP access to his lessosn platform. Contest details be found here.
Most notably, Andy was recently nominated for a 2020 International Bluegrass Music Award for Best Resophonic Guitar player, and appeared in back-to-back weekends with the Infamous Stringdusters live at a sold drive-in show, as well as on a 3-night livestream event.
Andy teaches online lessons through the Artistworks teaching platform and to date has taught thousands of students the fundamentals of resonator guitar. Andy has shared the stage and recorded with a wide range of artists including Dolly Parton, Wynona, Emmylou Harris, Earl Scruggs, Ryan Adams, Zack Brown, Charlie Daniels, Jack Black, Rodney Crowell and many others.
