Soulful swing meets Appalachian roots on this new song

Appalachian Road Show shares the latest from its forthcoming album ‘Jubilation’ with a soul-swinging sing-a-long called “La La Blues.” The song is available everywhere today (9.9). Listen here: youtu.be/kGp-y1Ec-kM

"'La La Blues,' written by one of our favorites, Pokey LaFarge, is absolutely the most fun you can have without getting into (too much) trouble,” says Appalachian Road Show fiddler Jim VanCleve. "It will, guaranteed, put a great big smile on your face and has been an instant sing-a-long showstopper for the Appalachian Road Show.”

On June 24, Round Records & ATO Records will release GarciaLive Volume Six: July 5, 1973 – Jerry Garcia & Merl Saunders, the latest installment of the celebrated GarciaLive archival series. The three-CD set was recorded at the 200 capacity Lion’s Share club formerly located in the small town of San Anselmo, CA, just 20 miles north of San Francisco. The performance features Jerry Garcia performing with friend, mentor and legendary keyboardist/vocalist Merl Saunders. The duo is joined by drummer Bill Vitt and bassist John Kahn, who soon became a lifelong Garcia collaborator.
