AEG Presents & The Colorado Symphony are thrilled to announce a spectacular live concert experience at Red Rocks Amphitheatre: Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton, taking place on Sunday, August 17.
This must-see symphonic event brings to life the unforgettable film scores of legendary composer Danny Elfman, featuring music from Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and more. The Colorado Symphony and Colorado Symphony Chorus will deliver a powerful, immersive performance of Elfman’s iconic scores, accompanied by a mesmerizing visual journey through Tim Burton’s world including original film sketches, drawings, and storyboards projected on the big screen.
Adding to the excitement, Danny Elfman himself will take the stage, performing selections of his most beloved works live. He will be joined by his longtime collaborator and world-renowned violinist Sandy Cameron, whose dynamic artistry has become a defining part of Elfman's concert repertoire.
“Red Rocks is one of the most unique and awe-inspiring concert venues in the world,” said Anthony Pierce, Chief Artistic Officer of the Colorado Symphony. “To present the work of two singular creative forces — Danny Elfman and Tim Burton — on this stage, performed by our orchestra and chorus, with Elfman himself performing live, is nothing short of extraordinary. This will be a night unlike any other.”
With haunting melodies, exhilarating orchestration, and spellbinding visuals, Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton promises to be a one-of-a-kind evening under the stars and a cinematic concert experience for fans of all ages.
