DOGS IN A PILE SET TO PLAY LEGENDARY ASBURY PARK VENUE, THE STONE PONY, ON DEC. 15-16

Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) will continue the tradition of celebrating the holidays in Asbury Park, NJ at the famed Stone Pony on December 15 and 16. This will be the second consecutive year DIAP have used the historic venue as a canvas to honor and commemorate the location where it all started for them – home.

Last year’s December Stone Pony run produced two sellout nights complete with unforgettable collaborations by local brass band the Ocean Avenue Stompers and Nashville-based pickers Sicard Hollow. Fans in attendance witnessed a unique energy from the Dogs that could only come from being energized by much of their core rabid fanbase and family known as “The Dog Pound”.

“The Dog Pound” has shown up in force to many of the East Coast marquee events the band have played this year – including helping to sell out a headlining gig at Saratoga Springs’ Putnam Place in March, watching them support The Disco Biscuits over two nights at The Capitol Theatre and enjoying the family-type atmosphere at DIAP’s second annual camping affair in August dubbed “The Great Divide” in Newton, NJ.

The Dogs will return to Putnam Place shortly after their Asbury Park shows to ring in 2024 on December 30 and 31. The two nights will mark their first time playing headlining shows across the New Year’s Eve holiday. Tickets are moving steadily for both shows of an expected sellout run.

Forming in 2019 and hailing from Asbury Park, NJ – Dogs In A Pile is comprised of Berklee alumni and Billy Joel scholarship recipient Jeremy Kaplan (keyboardist), Berklee alumni Brian Murray (guitarist) and Sam Lucid (bassist) and long-time Jersey Shore musicians Jimmy Law (guitarist) and Joey Babick (drums). Law and Babick have both been playing locally since the young age of 11. The five-piece group met as a result of long-standing familial connections and a mutual love for improvisational music.

The Jersey Shore’s hometown heroes are in the midst of a 41-date Fall Tour that continues this weekend in Burlington, VT at the Higher Ground on October 5.
