Denver’s local funky blues-rockers, Fox Street, are excited to announce their headlining show at legendary Denver venue, the Gothic Theatre, on January 15th, 2016. This will be the band’s first time headlining a venue this size, and invite old friends and fellow local band, Analog Son, as direct support on the bill. Doors open at 8 PM and music starts at 9. Fox Street recently released their third studio LP, Authentic Western Style with RELIX praising, “Lead singer Jonathan Huvard’s riveting vocals recall Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett in both range and intensity, and when underscored by brass and relentless rhythms, help that style become all the more exhilarating.” The new record features performances by many special guests, including bassist Todd Smallie (JJ Grey and Mofro) and keyboardist Bill McKay (former member of Leftover Salmon) from the original Derek Trucks Band, as well as collaborations with members of The Motet, Polyrythmics and Analog Son.

In 2008, Fox Street played their first show at Herb’s when the band was asked to fill-in for their buddies, Kinetix, known today as Analog Son. Needless to say, the upcoming Gothic show is more than just a concert, it’s a celebration of Denver’s local music and the hardworking musicians behind the songs. Since their inception, Fox Street has maintained a relentless coast-to-coast tour schedule, and took their soulful funky tunes across the pond on their first European tour last fall. In the days since their start, Fox Street has shared the stage with contemporary acts like Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Galactic. The band has also had the pleasure of playing with members of The Allman Brothers Band, The Black Crowes, Little Feat and The Meters. For the Authentic Western Style album release show on August 1st, 2015, the band co-headlined with new supergroup, The M&M’s, comprised of John Medeski of Medeski Martin & Wood, Stanton Moore and Robert Mercurio of Galactic, and Papa Mali of 7 Walkers.

Colorado Music Buzz named Fox Street among the "best jam bands" in Colorado, praising their fusion of “honky-tonk inspired soul sound in with the funky freshness of the jam scene,” and declaring, “Fox Street is a top band to watch."
