British craft brewery Mash Gang is poised to stage the largest non-alcoholic (NA) beer giveaway in Colorado history. From June 9 through 15, the London-based upstart will put 30,000 free cans into the hands of Coloradans, determined to prove that a 0.5 percent pint can thrill just as much as its boozy counterpart.

Co-founder and head brewer Jordan Childs is flying in to personally criss-cross the state, popping up at tap takeovers, office happy hours, running-club meet-ups, and backyard parties from Denver and Boulder to Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and into the high country. Over one whirlwind week, one brewer will hand-deliver thousands of cans, offering an invitation to taste what Mash Gang calls “the most adventurous NA beer on the planet.”

The madness peaks on Sunday, June 15 at Improper City in Denver’s booming RiNo Art District, where Mash Gang will fill a 2,500-gallon pool with beer and turn the patio into a foam-float oasis. Fans can sip, swim, and literally soak in the brewery’s hop-forward crowd favorites, all without the after-effects of alcohol.

Mash Gang’s Colorado blitz lands amid explosive growth in mindful drinking: recent industry data show 44 percent of Americans are cutting back on booze, and NA beer sales are up 29 percent year-over-year. Founded during the 2020 lockdown as a friends-and-family experiment, Mash Gang has become a cult phenomenon for its boundary-pushing recipes that pack full-strength flavor while staying under 0.5 percent ABV.

Route details, daily drop-locations, and pool-party RSVP information will roll out on mashgang.com and via Instagram @mashgang.
