ODESZA Perform Surprise Guest DJ Set At Coachella’s Do Lab

ODESZA (the GRAMMY-nominated duo of Harrison Mills & Clayton Knight) made a special appearance this past Saturday at Coachella, performing a surprise DJ set at the Do Lab stage. The electronic trailblazers dazed their audience with an appearance by acclaimed violinist, vocalist and songwriter Sudan Archives who joined the duo to premiere the new ODESZA remix of her hit “Selfish Soul”. Shortly after their performance, a studio version of “Selfish Soul (ODESZA Remix)” dropped on all DSPs, giving the track a bass-heavy, euphoric & spacey reimagining. This is the first remix from ODESZA in eight years.

The track drop and Coachella appearance follows the recent announcement of ODESZA’s forthcoming headlining slot at the 2023 Life Is Beautiful festival, added to a list of spring/summer appearances that also include top-billing slots at Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands & Electric Forest, as well as their recently announced fall tour kicking off in September. Full dates below.

"Sudan Archives was one of our favorite artists we discovered over the past year. This song in particular was incredibly inspiring to us and we’re grateful to be a part of it.”

"Thank you ODESZA for remixing my song in a way I could never have imagined!” added Sudan Archives.

ODESZA also recently attended the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards in support of their nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album for ‘The Last Goodbye’ (released via Foreign Family Collective/Ninja Tune) and released their new single “To Be Yours (feat. Claud)” which Billboard said “perfectly tows the line between each of the artists’ respective worlds, employing the crystal clear production work of the sought-after dance pair as well as the confessional songwriting of the fast-rising bedroom pop singer into one gloriously fun single.”

Last year’s headlining tour sold over 450k tickets throughout its amphitheater run with numerous sold-out, multi-night runs including in their hometown of Seattle at Climate Pledge Arena, LA’s Kia Forum, and New York’s Forest Hills Stadium and more (making them the first electronic artists to attempt such a tour). The recent tour also earned high praise with a Pollstar cover feature proclaiming that “ODESZA makes history,” while Billboard added “ODESZA is meant to be seen, and heard, live,” and the Seattle Times called them “a ticket selling, dance music force that raised the live performance bar for electronic artists.”
