PIGEONS PLAYING PING PONG DELIVER NEW SINGLE “FEED THE FIRE” FT. MOON TAXI’S WES BAILEY

Today, psychedelic-funk trailblazers Pigeons Playing Ping Pong unveil their triumphant new single, “Feed The Fire,” the title track from their forthcoming eighth studio album, due out October 3, 2025 via No Coincidence Records.

Irresistibly danceable, brilliantly textured, and refreshingly dynamic, “Feed The Fire” captures the band’s unwavering commitment to keep evolving as musicians, songwriters, and collaborators. Featuring keys and effects from Wes Bailey (Moon Taxi), the soaring, synth-infused track radiates passion, positivity, and purpose, marking a new creative chapter for the beloved Baltimore-bred quartet.

“Making music feels like something we were born to do, and that’s why we stay committed to stoking that creative flame every step of the way,” reflects singer/guitarist Greg Ormont. “Our relentless passion is the spark behind this song’s lyrics and for the album as a whole, embracing that creative pull, even when it’s intense, because that’s where the magic happens.”

“I had this cool demo that the band really liked, but we all felt like it needed something extra before we tried it as a band,” recalls guitarist Jeremy Schon. “When we had two days off from touring in Nashville, I linked up with our longtime friend Wes Bailey from Moon Taxi for what ended up being my first real co-writing session. As soon as I played him the demo, he came up with the soaring lead melody on the spot, which then inspired Greg to write the vocals. It ended up being our first true collaborative writing experience, and it definitely opened the door to a whole new creative process.”

Together, Ormont’s lyrics, Schon’s vision, and Bailey’s inspired contributions crystallize into an electrifying new installation on a project that embodies PPPP’s ever-evolving sound. “Feed The Fire” arrives as the third single from the new record, following the horn-fueled first single “Calm Before The Storm” and bassist Ben Carrey’s stirring vocal debut on “Hit The Ground Runnin’.”
