Genre-bending rock force ElephantProof today announces the addition of bassist Luke Bemand – acclaimed low-end architect of progressive trio lespecial – to its permanent lineup. The move follows Bemand’s incendiary debut performance with the band at Northlands Music & Arts Festival on June 12, 2025.
The newly fortified quartet instantly recognized Bemand’s seamless fit during their Northlands set, where he tackled ElephantProof’s complex catalog with both technical mastery and explosive stage presence. A fiery cover of Australian producer Fisher’s Tech-House Anthem “Losing It” (WATCH HERE) captured the lineup’s chemistry, sealing the collaboration.
Drummer Ben Atkind hailed the union:
“We were all really impressed with Luke’s ability and willingness to hop in and learn all the material before our set at Northlands. We loved how he approached the music with his own distinct style.”
With a laugh, he added: “Yeah sure, he kills it at bass. But have you seen his witty internet presence??”
Bemand’s arrival signals a powerful new chapter for ElephantProof, merging his thunderous, rhythmically inventive bass work with the band’s shape-shifting sound. Fans of both acts can expect evolved sonic explorations as the group finalizes new music and 2025-2026 tour dates, with major announcements imminent.
