Led by local saxophonist Sarah Mount, who hails from the Mile High City, Sarah Mount & the Rushmores have been delivering improv driven hard funk, jazz hop, and neo-soul to the Denver area for the last four years.

The last Friday of each month, they bring original music and unique covers featuring guest artists every show. March features Daniel Steigleder on tenor sax flying all the way in from Germany for the show.

For the last decade, Sarah Mount's sax has found its way into more bands than you can shake a reed at. She's known across the entire music scene for her tireless work ethic and ability to play any style and at any position in the lineup — whether that's pure ensemble work, like she does with the Tivoli Club Brass Band or the Denver Jazz Orchestra; or fronting a powerhouse group like her own Sarah Mount and the Rushmores. The Denver-bred saxophonist is a consummate artist who also paints and teaches music and art, and is one of the founders of the Colorado Musicians Union — demonstrating her deep commitment to not only performing at a high level, but advocating for other artists and musicians every day.

Daniel is an up-and-coming, in demand, live and session musician from Southern Germany. In his young career he has already played concerts and tours all over Europe. Currently, Daniel plays in numerous bands, found recognition as an arranger and is mostly known for his horn section work for established pop artists, such as Alice Merton and Luca Sestak. He has played concerts and tours all over Europe as a sought after sideman, conducts workshops and masterclasses and arranges music for up-and-coming pop acts and show bands.
