Award-winning guitarist STEPHANE WREMBEL will release The Django Experiment IV on his own Water is Life Records on January 23, 2019, the 109th anniversary of the birth of French guitarist Django Reinhardt, who is widely considered one of the greatest musicians of the twentieth century. Wrembel, most known for his Grammy Award ® winning composition “Bistro Fada” from the Woody Allen movie, "Midnight In Paris," is one of the preeminent guitarists in the world specialized in the Reinhardt style.

The Django Experiment IV is the fourth in a series of recordings Wrembel in tribute to Reinhardt.  The Django Experiment I & The Django Experiment II were released simultaneously in March of 2017 in conjunction with the Wrembel-produced Django A Gogo at Carnegie Hall to rave reviews for the CDs and the festival.  The Django Experiment IV was recorded and mastered by Eric Ritter at The Windmill Recording Studio in Scranton, PA. Once again Wrembel is accompanied by long-time collaborators Thor Jensen (guitar), Ari Folman Cohen (bass), Nick Anderson (drums) and special guest Nick Driscoll on saxophone and clarinet. In addition to one song composed by Django Reinhardt, the 9 songs include compositions by "Kamlo", Renee Lebas, Gerald Marks/Seymour Simons, Isham Jones/Gus Kahn, Edgar Battle/Eddie Durham, Mongo Santamaria and 2 traditional songs.

Wrembel’s Django A Gogo 2019 includes performances from April 24th-26th at The Woodland in Maplewood, N.J., and April 27th at The Town Hall in New York City. Presenting some of the best guitarists in the world, Wrembel will be joined by Raphaël Fays, Serge Krief, Lior Krief, Ezeckiel Krief, Simba Baumgartner (Django’s grandson), David Gastine, David Langlois, Julian Smith, Scott Kettner, Daisy Castro, Thor Jensen, Ari Folman-Cohen, and Nick Anderson. A very special guest performer will be announced at a later date. Wrembel is also in the process of producing a series of Django A Gogo festivals in select markets on the East Coast, Canada and France.
