The Emerald Cup, the premier outdoor medical marijuana competition, is an annual gathering of the cannabis tribe and a celebration of the fall harvest. October’s disastrous wildfires in Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino counties have devastated the cannabis community, friends and colleagues of The Emerald Cup ranging from loss of property and crops, to loss of life.

The Dead & Company concerts that were postponed due to John Mayer’s emergency appendectomy have been rescheduled for February 24th in New Orleans, February 26th in Ft. Lauderdale, and February 27th in Orlando. Tickets for the original shows will be honored at these newly announced 2018 dates.  Should ticketholders choose to seek a refund, they will be available at point of purchase.​

It was a spare crowd that greeted the band when they took the stage to play “Shakedown Street” but it grew pretty quickly. It seemed to me that a hundred people even on the last day of November was a fairly low turnout. Ashland is invariably a “slow show” crowd and soon afterward there was at least a couple hundred. They were treated to a show that was also a slow burner.

Award-winning guitarist STEPHANE WREMBEL, specialized in the Django Reinhardt style, will release The Django Experiment III on his own Water Is Life Records on January 23, 2018, which marks the 108th anniversary of the birth of Reinhardt, who is widely considered one of the greatest musicians of the twentieth century.

The tour includes a very special co-headline show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on April 13 with Sturgill Simpson (solo) as well as dates at Philadelphia’s Merriam Theatre on April 14, Chicago’s Chicago Theatre on April 27, San Francisco’s Warfield on May 24 and Norfolk’s Chrysler Hall on June 2 among others.
