Our new favorite national holiday has quickly become Record Store Day. So this year we're thrilled to be bringing you a limited pressing 7-inch from Marco Benevento for the celebration of the independent record store. "This Is How It Goes" is Marco's first release to ever feature vocals. Doing the honors is none other than lovely Kalmia Traver from one of our favorite bands Rubblebucket.

This week the stage at the Boulder Theater was eclipsed by the looming shadow of a performer with a gigantic reputation, one who has been in the spotlight for over three decades.  Dressed in his signature black jeans and black tee, Henry Rollins took center stage, adopted a rocker-like stance, and firmly wielded his weapon of choice: the microphone.  Initially it was difficult hard to behold this lone veteran of guitar rock without a metal band backing him up. 

NYC natives Hollis Brown make music that is lush, raw and full of heart. The band’s Nothing & The Famous No One EP will be released digitally on April 3rd. For an early taste, the band has released a video for album track “Ride On The Train” triumphant song of new beginnings lead by warm, crackling guitar over booming piano.

Stony Plain Records announces a May 29 release date for the new CD from multi-award-winning blues singer/guitarist Rory Block, I Belong to the Band: a Tribute to Reverend Gary Davis. The new CD is the third in what Rory calls her “mentor” series saluting blues masters she met in person and greatly influenced her as a musician.
