On Saturday, December 18 from 1-6pm, PhanArt will bring together artists and vendors from the growing Goose community for the first time, as PhanArt Presents: The Hometown Flodown, at Mohegan Sun in the Uncas Ballroom.

Yesterday witnessed the first day of the first ever North Beach Music Festival, taking place at North Beach Bandshell in Miami, Florida. The day saw performances from some local acts like The Heavy Pets, and then later on saw headlining sets from the likes of The Motet, Karina Rykman, and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong.

Hot Tuna at the Capitol Theatre, December 4th, 2021, this is the second rescheduled date for a performance that was originally set to be played in July 2020. Now it's a year and a half later and that's a lot of time for anticipation. Almost like my first concert, I still get the pre-show jitters. We've seen this band dozens of times, add in the fifty plus free Quarantine Concerts live from the Fur Peace Ranch and there has been a lot of great music to enjoy.

"The Dirty Street Grass Company" tour, consisting of Kendall Street Company and The Dirty Street Grass Players is about to come to a close this weekend - on Sunday Dec 12th (at Stella Blues in New Haven). For the seven date mini co-headlining tour, the two bands have each performed individual sets, and then come together for a superjam collaboration set at the end of each show.

J Dalton celebrated the 40th anniversary of her hit single, “Everybody Makes Mistakes.” Released on December 5th, 1981, the second single from her album Takin’ It Easy reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. The emotional song was co-written by Dalton and Mark Sherrill and has remained a fan favorite over the years. Taking an inward focus, Dalton channeled the heartfelt emotions that we all face throughout life when it comes to all decisions, good or bad.

Today, Minneapolis songwriter Mason Jennings has shared his new single, “Tomorrow.” The track is currently streaming via Glide who describes it as “straddling the line between lushness and simplicity, Jennings conjures a stirring work of folk that showcases his enchanting vocals and his lyrical craftsmanship.” Jennings will release Real Heart on February 4, 2022 via Loosegroove Records and is available to pre-order here.

The Recording Academy® announced today that Bonnie Raitt will join the honorees receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Special Merit Awards Ceremony and 64th Annual GRAMMY® Nominees Reception event, to be held at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022. The Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates performers who have made outstanding contributions of artistic significance to the field of recording.

Following the release of "Water In The Barrel," which was inspired by Zen philosophy and the 20th century professor Alan Watts, the Portland-based folk artist Eddie Berman is releasing “The Wheel,” another reflective single that deals with the destructive power of habit energy and the need to reconnect with our own humanity. The song is featured on 'Broken English,' Berman's 11-song suite of campfire-worthy, cosmic folk-rock, out January 31st via Nettwerk Records.
