Austin John is an American Rhythm & Blues/Rock n’ Roll singer and guitarist living in Nashville, TN. He was born and raised on dairy farm in Upstate New York.  Always captivated by music, he picked up a guitar at 14 and has never looked back.  He was drawn to Rock n’ Roll and Blues music almost immediately.   Austin studied tapes of artists such as Muddy Waters, Elmore James, Robert Johnson, T-Bone Walker and Hollywood Fats.  After a few years of playing he formed his own group called the Austin John Band.

I’m not a fan of Thanksgiving. I like being with family, the time off from work and of course all the decadent trimmings, but sadly it now signifies personal tragedy. Even the weeks heading towards Turkey Day causes debilitating anxiety. (Try not to die on a major holiday. It makes the healing process more arduous.) This year, due to the pandemic, my emotional state is much worse. I will be home instead of trying to enjoy a little vacation get-a-way to distract from the nightmare that transpired. Avoiding the day and skipping straight to Christmas never seemed like a possibility.

In 2016, The Hold Steady started Massive Nights, a four-night celebration of the band's music and community -- a tradition held annually at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg, New York. On what would have been the 5th Anniversary of this legendary rock 'n' roll gathering, The Hold Steady return to Brooklyn Bowl for a special 3-night live stream event on FANS beginning Thursday, December 3 through Saturday, December 5.

Singer / songwriter Shawn James has released a new album, The Guardian Collection, on Parts + Labor Records. Listen HERE

Transcending any and all genres, James’ songs speak as much to these tremulous times as they do the eternal human condition. Steeped in mythology (the fearsome a cappella which opens “Orpheus”) and America’s dark past (the deep delta blues of “Burn the Witch”),

Adam Douglas is a playmaker in the best sense of the word. His music is intended to be played to people. He savours every moment on stage and values every opportunity to connect with his audience.

In the six albums she’s released, Sarah Sample has created a reputation for weaving a trail of stories through folk, Americana, and country music. “Old Barn Owl” continues the tradition, written on a songwriting retreat in the Chihuahuan Desert in West Texas, an ode to nature written out past the confines of judgment. The song is out today, with AudioFemme noting how the soothing, hopeful track "lets the wisdom of nature guide" it.
