If you haven’t been watching her already, Bronwyn Keith Hynes is definitely a player to keep your eyes on now.  IBMA’s Momentum Instrumentalist of the year 2018 is set to release her first solo album, Fiddler’s Pastime on September 4th.

The Danish guitarist and songwriter Asger Tarpgaard is releasing the warm, thoughtful single “I Wear Shades” as he presents his brand new project Souldier. His music is inspired by older british and american songwriter traditions and the track tells the story about hiding yourself behind a pair of sunglasses. At some point, you should consider taking them off.

After completing an innovative and well-received virtual “Bingo Tour” earlier this summer, Connecticut indie-groove band Goose announced its return to the stage with a socially distanced drive-in show on Cape Cod. Hosted at the Yarmouth Drive-In on Saturday, September 12th, the band will play an outdoor multi-set show, with fans situated in designated socially distant areas adjacent to their vehicles. Having not performed for an audience since early March, Goose is looking forward to playing live.

Ric Robertson’s Strange World EP drips with syrupy trance-funk like an intergalactic spacecraft rising from swampy waters at the far edges of the galaxy, crash-landing in the middle of Frenchmen Street. Where his 2018 full-length debut The Fool, The Friend channeled the lovesick wryness of John Prine, Randy Newman, and Paul Simon, Strange World leans into the rhythmic enchantment of George Clinton, Sly Stone, and Dr. John.

This past Sunday, Grammy nominated bluegrass musician Joe Troop joined protesters outside Postmaster General Louis Dejoy's Greensboro, NC. home with his banjo and played his song titled "A Plea to the US Government to Fully Fund the Postal Service."

Video of the event was captured on Twitter and quickly racked up almost 20,000 views.

After a long hiatus from live performance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vermont jam quartet Twiddle returned to the stage this weekend for three socially distanced drive-in shows. Taking place in Essex Junction, VT, the three sold-out shows were a welcome return to live performance for the band, with over 250 car passes sold for each night.

“We can't thank our fans enough for making our first live shows back such an incredible and safe experience. It felt amazing playing live again with the boys and having our brother Taz join us, elevating the band as he always does.” 

Throughout their illustrious 45-year career, the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND have played many legendary venues and widely-praised live shows; however, up until this point, the sold-out show on July 19, 2005 at the Warner Theatre in Erie, PA hasn't been included on that list.
