Beginning in 2018, Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia will be home to the Ellis Marsalis International Jazz Piano Competition. The new triennial event was announced by Marshall President Jerome Gilbert Jan. 6 at The Jazz Education Network Conference in New Orleans.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have announced their complete Winter/Spring Tour Dates including an additional 17 tour dates covering the eastern half of the country. The second leg of Pigeons' 2017 touring plans will kick off with a 2-night headlining run at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY with support from Haley Jane and The Primates and Organ Freeman. The following weekend the band will head to Washington DC's 9:30 Club with support from ELM and Norfolk, VA with support from BIG Something.

With 50 groundbreaking artists performing on multiple stages over 3 nights, the sold out 6th annual event hosted 60,000 attendees throughout the weekend.
