American Blues Legends tours continued sporadically up to 1979. Latterly they were probably better organised – certainly, the 50-seater coaches were an improvement on the original bone-shaker – and they often played fancier halls, to better-dressed audiences. But the sense of excitement, of pure adventure, of being on a crusade, was never equalled.

The past two years have seen Connecticut rockers Goose grow from a local bar band to a premiere festival headliner who are today announcing their biggest show to date. On December 18, the band will be celebrating their annual “Goosemas” event at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, marking the eighth iteration of their annual holiday concert, a tradition that began with humble roots in the basement of a Norwalk, CT music studio.
